How a Lonely Cat Named Cinnabon Won Over a New Homeowner

Lex wasn't a cat person until a stray named Cinnabon changed his mind. Read their heartwarming story.

Moving into a New House

When Lex bought his house in Michigan, he noticed something interesting. There were a lot of stray and feral cats around. One cat especially loved hanging out in his backyard. He was a timid little furball who looked hungry. Lex wasn't a cat person, but he didn't want the cat to go hungry either.

A Timid Visitor

Lex decided to put some food out for the cat, but he didn't plan to keep him. He just wanted to help a hungry animal. Months went by, and the cat, now named Cinnabon, kept coming back for food. When winter came, Lex worried about the cold. He built an insulated outdoor house for Cinnabon, complete with a shingled roof.

A Cozy New Home

Within a day of Lex putting out the new house, Cinnabon crawled inside and curled up for a nap. The weather got colder, and Lex wanted to keep Cinnabon warm. He tried to coax the cat inside his house with treats. Eventually, Cinnabon took some treats from Lex's hand. Not long after, he took his first steps inside.

From Timid to Trusting

This was about a year after Lex first saw Cinnabon. It was a huge step for the shy cat who used to run away even if he saw Lex through the window. Whether Lex wanted to admit it or not, Cinnabon had completely won him over.

Two Peas in a Pod

Before long, Lex changed all of his social media channel names to 'Lex and Cinnabon.' The two are now inseparable. The cat who started out as a timid stray is now a beloved member of Lex's family. It turns out, Lex had a big heart for cats all along.
