Catvana: The Creative Cat Rescue Program Taking Adoption to New Heights

What happens when cat adoption meets car sales tactics? Pippi's Place Pet Rescue created "Catvana," featuring cats like Arliss the "2014 Ferrari" with "4 paw drive." Even Carvana loved it, donating $4,000!

How Catvana Became a Clever Cat Adoption Success

A Georgia pet rescue has put a creative spin on finding homes for cats. Pippi's Place Pet Rescue created "Catvana," a clever play on the well-known car company Carvana. The program features rescue cats with car-themed listings that have helped many felines find forever homes.

The Brains Behind the Operation

Kayla Delcour, social media manager for Pippi's Place, developed the entire Catvana concept. She built a homepage showcasing all available cats and created individual listings for each one. Many profiles even include special "cat facts" to entice potential adopters.

Meet the Catvana Models

The creative listings are what make Catvana truly special. Arliss, marketed as a "2014 Ferrari," comes with "4 paw drive," a sleek black exterior, and a custom white detail kit.

Simon, presented as a "2022 Cadillac," sports a blue exterior, green headlights, and a special "sport package."

The program has been incredibly successful. According to a recent update from Pippi's Place, seven of the nine original Catvana cats have already found new homes.

Still Available for Adoption

Two cats are still waiting for their forever homes. Cassie, advertised as a "2022 Meowsta," comes with a stealth package and power napping features. Stitch, a "2021 Meowty," offers a premium speaker system and a ticked tabby detail kit.

Carvana Takes Notice

The clever marketing campaign caught the attention of Carvana itself. Rather than sending a cease-and-desist letter, the company embraced the parody and supported the cause. Carvana invited the rescue's director and social media manager to visit their car vending machine for a special surprise.

During the visit, Carvana presented Pippi's Place with pet supplies and a generous $4,000 check, which was delivered through the vending machine. This act of kindness will help the rescue continue its important work.

How to Help

If you're interested in meeting any of these adoptable cats or want to see more Catvana listings, visit the Pippi's Place Pet Rescue page. Applications to adopt these creative kitties can be submitted through their website.
