With nearly 9 years in the watermelon industry, Pearl has become highly experienced. He's such a good leader that he can motivate the rest of the farm's employees just by sitting in a chair in the shade looking both angry and adorable.

Pearl knows how to keep his coworkers happy. He sometimes goes to the store in the middle of the workday just to bring the team back a snack. This kind of thoughtfulness makes Pearl not just a boss, but a friend to the workers.

As a true leader, Pearl rarely has to do any work himself. He's a master of delegation. But because he knows that nobody can sit directly next to watermelons as well as he can, he takes charge of guarding the farm supply. Pearl makes sure nobody walks off with a melon without paying.

On rare occasions, Pearl's coworkers catch him taking a nap in the office during the day. They give him a pass because they know that firing him would throw the farm's operations into chaos. Nobody wants to see what would happen to watermelon production without Pearl in charge.
