Meet Pearl: The Guardian of the Watermelon Farm

Pearl the cat makes sure that everyone keeps their paws off his watermelons. He's the site supervisor and guard for a large watermelon farm, and he never takes the day off.

Nearly a Decade of Watermelon Experience

Pearl is highly experienced in the watermelon industry. He's been on the job for nearly 9 years. He's such an effective leader that he can motivate the rest of the farm's employees by just sitting in a chair in the shade, looking both angry and adorable.

A Leader Who Cares

Pearl knows how to keep his coworkers happy. He occasionally goes to the store in the middle of the workday just to bring the team back a snack. Pearl is a master of delegation, and he rarely has to do any paws-on work himself.

Security is His Specialty

Because he knows that nobody can sit directly next to watermelons as well as he can, Pearl takes charge of guarding the farm supply. He makes sure nobody walks off with a melon without paying.

The Boss Takes a Break

On rare occasion, Pearl's coworkers catch him taking a nap in the office in the middle of the day. They give him a pass because they know that firing him would throw the farm's operations into a state of chaos.

Life Outside of Work

To balance out his long hours of sitting in his favorite chair, Pearl does take time for himself sometimes. His favorite hobby is fishing.

Behind the Tough Exterior

His coworkers say that while Pearl puts on an intimidating front, he's actually really nice when you get to know him. He might look tough while protecting those watermelons, but beneath that watchful gaze is a cat who cares about his job and his team.
