Rainbow's Remarkable Transformation: From 28 Pounds to Health and Happiness
Meet Rainbow
Last March, a dangerously obese cat named Rainbow arrived at the Cats Protection Bridgend adoption center in the UK. At that time, she weighed a whopping 28 pounds! Rainbow was so overweight that she could barely walk, couldn't groom herself, and couldn't play.
A Risky Life
Because of her weight, Rainbow's life was at risk. But the team at the adoption center was determined to help her. They put her on a strict diet to get her back to a healthy weight.
The Journey to Health
Over the past year, Rainbow has done remarkably well on this diet. She has lost 10 pounds and now weighs just under 18 pounds. As she has lost weight, her cat-like curiosity and energy have returned. She's even started playing again!
Ready for a Forever Home
The best news of all is that Rainbow is now healthy enough to find her forever home. Even though she has come a long way, she still has a little more weight to lose. She will need a family who can maintain her strict diet under vet supervision. Rainbow also has limited eyesight, so she should be mostly an indoor cat, with some supervised outdoor time in a fenced yard.
How to Adopt Rainbow
Rainbow is still available for adoption. You can find her or other cats looking for a home on the Cats Protection Bridgend adoption center's website. Check out their available cats and maybe you can find your new family member!
