Meet Remy the Cat: Harvard's Feline Scholar
Remy the Remarkable Feline
At Harvard University, there's a student who's not like the others. Remy the Cat, a resident about a mile away from campus, has become a popular figure around Harvard's halls. While most students attend classes, Remy saunters through buildings and keeps a watchful eye on things from the trees.
When a Cat Goes to College
Remy's presence at Harvard didn't go unnoticed. The Graduate School of Design even dedicated a course to him – 'The Psychogeography of Remy.' Through this course, students delved into how the campus's design influenced Remy's behaviors and mused about potential adaptations to cater to his needs, like exterior cat stairs.
A Lesson in Empathy
The course went beyond architectural musings. It encouraged participants to consider animal perspectives in design, fostering empathy towards all creatures. Remy's exploits on campus, from crashing lectures to dorm room visits, have made him a beloved staple at Harvard, where students and staff eagerly anticipate his surprise appearances.
