Lost Chihuahua Reunited with Family After 9 Months in Michigan
Mishka Goes Missing
Mishka, a 3-year-old Chihuahua terrier, loved hanging out at her family's auto repair shop in San Diego, California. Her human, Mehrad, was always busy working, but he never imagined Mishka would disappear. One day in July, when Mehrad turned around, Mishka was gone!
The Search Begins
Liz and Mehrad were heartbroken. They put up flyers all around their neighborhood and checked every animal shelter they could find. But no matter what they did, Mishka was nowhere to be found. For 9 long months, they worried and wondered where their little dog could be.
A Surprise Email
Then one day, Mehrad received an email that changed everything. The email was from Mishka's microchip registry, and it said that she had been found! Mishka was at the Grosse Pointe Animal Adoption Society in Harper Woods. The family was overjoyed but also confused. Where was Harper Woods?
The Big Shock
Liz looked it up and almost fell over in shock. Harper Woods was near Detroit, Michigan, over 2,000 miles away from San Diego! Their happiness turned into surprise when they realized they needed plane tickets to get Mishka back.
The Reunion
Finally, Mishka and her family were reunited. It was a joyful and emotional moment. Liz and Mehrad wished Mishka could talk and tell them about her incredible journey. But for now, they were just happy to have their furry friend back home.
