Loyal Dog Refuses to Leave Hospital Until Her Human is Better

A Rough Day in Turkey

When Cemal was picked up from his home in Turkey by an ambulance, his dog, Bonjuk, slipped out the front door at the same time. As Cemal was loaded into the vehicle, Bonjuk watched closely. Little did anyone know, she had a plan.

Following the Ambulance

Bonjuk managed to follow the ambulance all the way to the hospital! Cemal's family tried to pick her up and take her home, but the next morning, Bonjuk was right back at the hospital entrance. She had escaped again.

Not Giving Up

This clever dog repeated her escape act every single morning. She knew where she needed to be to wait for Cemal.

A Caring Community

At this point, the hospital staff had noticed Bonjuk. They decided to care for and feed her while making sure she stayed safe. The staff even brought Cemal down for visits with Bonjuk while he was recovering.

Finally Together

After five days of treatment, Cemal was finally able to leave the hospital. He and Bonjuk reunited outside for good. The loyal dog and her human went home together, and this time Bonjuk decided to stay put.
