Minneapolis Bus Driver Rescues Lost Child During Snowstorm

During a harsh snowstorm in Minneapolis, a bus driver became an unexpected hero when he spotted a young child wandering alone on the streets.

A Concerning Sight

Ambrose Young was driving his usual bus route when something caught his attention. He noticed a small child walking alone with a backpack. Since schools were closed due to the severe snowstorm, Ambrose immediately sensed something was wrong.

Once the child was safely on board, Ambrose contacted authorities. They quickly identified the 9-year-old as an autistic child who had been reported missing from North Minneapolis. The young boy had wandered an incredible 15 blocks from home after moving too quickly for his caretaker to follow.

When praised for his actions, Ambrose Young humbly dismissed being called a hero. He shared that he simply wants to be known as a dad, explaining that he was just showing the same care for this child that he would for his own children.
