Meet Welsh Tidy Mouse: The Nighttime Housekeeper of Wales
The Mystery of the Tidied Shed
A man in Wales found himself puzzled by a strange happening. Rodney Holbrook kept waking up to find his shed mysteriously tidied up after leaving things out on his workbench. Night after night, items left scattered would somehow end up neatly placed in a nearby box by morning.
Setting a Trap (The Camera Kind)
Curious about this unexplained organizing, Rodney decided to solve the mystery. He set up a camera to catch the mysterious housekeeper in action. What he discovered was both surprising and delightful.
Meet Welsh Tidy Mouse
The secret cleaner turned out to be a tiny mouse! Rodney aptly named his new helper "Welsh Tidy Mouse." This small creature would visit the shed each night and carefully move items from the workbench into a box.
It didn't matter what Rodney left out - clothespins, cups, corks, screws - all would end up neatly stored in the box by morning. Welsh Tidy Mouse was thorough in his cleaning duties, rarely missing a night of work.
Why So Tidy?
Rodney believes he's figured out the mouse's motivation. It seems Welsh Tidy Mouse uses the box to store peanuts collected from nearby bird feeders. The mouse then covers these tasty treasures with the workshop items, cleverly hiding his food stash from other animals.
Whatever the reason, Rodney is happy with the arrangement. He now enjoys not having to clean up quite so much, thanks to his dedicated mouse helper.
A Family of Cleaners
Surprisingly, this isn't Rodney's first encounter with an organized rodent. Just a few years ago, he helped his friend Steve set up a camera in similar circumstances. They caught another mouse cleaner on video tidying Steve's shed too.
Rodney wonders if these mice might be related - perhaps there's a whole family of tidy mice in Wales, offering their cleaning services to unsuspecting shed owners.
Welsh Tidy Mouse continues his nightly rounds, bringing a bit of order and a lot of joy to Rodney's workshop.
