The Unexpected Arrival

When a tiny baby squirrel appeared on their back deck, Linda and Steve didn't know they were about to make a lifelong friend. The little creature, only about three weeks old, had been abandoned by his mother. After waiting and watching for the mother to return with no success, the couple knew they needed to step in.

Creating a Home

Linda and Steve took the baby squirrel under their wing and named him Mr. Peaches. They created a cozy home for him in their sunroom, complete with a custom hanging house for sleeping. As they cared for the tiny squirrel, something magical happened - Mr. Peaches became more affectionate and playful each day.

The little squirrel wasn't content to stay in the sunroom. Soon, he was welcomed into the main house where he played with the family just like any other pet. He especially loved climbing up their legs and hitching rides on their shoulders.

Finding Freedom

As Mr. Peaches grew bigger and stronger, he chewed through the screen in the sunroom and disappeared. Linda and her family were sad to see him go, but they understood that wild animals belong in nature. They accepted that their time with their tiny friend had come to an end.

But nature had other plans. Just two days after his escape, Linda went out to the sunroom and found a wonderful surprise - Mr. Peaches was sleeping peacefully in his hanging house! He had returned home.

From that day forward, Mr. Peaches has lived life on his own terms. He comes and goes as he pleases, enjoying both the freedom of the wild and the comfort of his human family.

Linda and Steve continued to improve his living space, even adding a special squirrel door to the sunroom so he could visit whenever he wanted.

The story of this special squirrel has touched many hearts. Mr. Peaches is now the star of a children's book called "The Life of Mr. Peaches." He even has his own website and a company named after him - Mr. Peaches LLC.
